Over-Austin-ized

Happy Monday Lizteners,

I thought I’d start this week off right by blessing you all with a new blog post that I put together from my trip to Austin, Texas. I do have to say that I am very proud of myself for being this consistent with my uploads lately and I hope you appreciate my effort of providing you with the best possible content. I’ve had a few epiphanies lately, which have led me to consider making a couple of life changes in the future, hopefully all steering me in the right direction. Anyways, before I turn into Mr. Descartes here, I’ll tell you a bit about the capital of Texas, namely Austin. What has struck me in particular about Austin when comparing it to Houston, Dallas or San Antonio is that it has got that very cool and young vibe to it. Not only is the city home to the famous South x South West Music Festival, but it also offers a lot of hipster friendly brunch spots as well as small boutiques that cater to the needs of every fashion lover. Most of these gems can be found on South Congress Ave, which is where I shot most of this post, so I highly recommend you check that street out, should you ever be in Austin.

When it comes to my outfit, I decided to go for an oversized look (hence the title of this blog post, get it now?). Anyways, I’m wearing white culottes with an oversized boyfriend-style shirt that comes in the most beautiful shade of blue. Believe it or not, it also has a surprise black and white stripe running along the back of it, which gives it this collegial feel, which happens to be a very hot trend for this upcoming season. Since it was a little chillier out than expected (yes, I know I suck at dressing weather appropriately, I’m either sweating or freezing), I had to occasionally pull out my grey wool coat with vegan leather (0h how I love to use that expression) trimming. Finally, I topped it all off with a sparkly bracelet one of my best friends from home gave me, some new black mirrored shades from Quay and my silver shoes.
