Coastal Serendipity

Hi Lizteners,

As I’m getting ready to head back to NYC, I thought I’d share one more outfit post from my recent vacation. I shot this in the harbour city of Antibes, where some of the most prestigious yachts can be admired by both tourists and locals. I felt inspired by the ocean as well as by the elegant shapes of the yachts and therefore decided to pick my outfit, keeping both elements in mind. It’s no secret that I love culottes, but wearing this particular one on a hot Summer evening, wasn’t one of my brightest decisions. Man oh man did it keep me toasty. Nonetheless, I love wearing it. I got it in January when I went on a short trip to Milan. I’ve been really into Korean fashion lately and this piece is no exception: The milanese store featured mostly Korean brands and some really cool, ‘out-there’ pieces. The fabric of the culottes is very heavy and therefore gives it a slightly stiff and rigid look once you’re wearing it, which I happen to really like. I paired it with this very airy, light blue top that features two large, black straps. I like the deep V neckline and the kind of geometrical vibe it adds to the look. I topped it off with one of my favorite pair of shoes that again I wouldn’t recommend wearing without socks when it’s hot out, as well as with a simple, sparkly ring.

Enjoy guys!

Much love from me – Liz
