FINALLY! FINALLY! FINALLY some Summer-appropriate weather in Luxembourg. It’s been two months since I came back from NYC to enjoy my Summer break. Turns out these were amongst the two most miserable Summer months one could’ve ever imagined (weather-wise that is). I also finished my 2-month sales and marketing internship at Yileste, the first prêt-à-porter brand in Luxembourg. It’s been a blast and I’ve learned so much along the way. I highly recommend you intern as much as possible during your years as a student, especially if you want to work in the fashion industry. The things you learn here go way beyond the knowledge you’re getting within the classroom, so use up your free time wisely and intern. That said, I will be going on a two-week vacation to the French Riviera today, which I’m super excited about. After all, I need to be well-rested and fully energized before I head back to NYC again and start my sophomore year in college (WHAT?!). Time truly flies by…
Alright so ever since I started going to FIT, my fashion style definitely evolved. It’s so cool being constantly surrounded by creative minds and living in the heart of Manhattan, as that has shaped the way I dress. I completely stopped caring about what others may or may not think about my fashion choices. At FIT (and in New York City), it’s all about: ‘You do you!’, which I love. If you know me, you know I love me some culottes. No matter the size, shape or color; I truly love them. Here I paired my favorite white ones with this baby blue top that features one of the SS17’s hottest trends: Dropped shoulders with gathered sleeves. Both pieces are from Zara, so no need to break the bank to look fashion forward. After all, fashion’s about experimenting and trying stuff out that you might’ve not thought about before. It’s about having FUN and not taking things too seriously. Okay I seriously need to continue packing.. Hope you’re all having a lovely Summer break yourself! Enjoy!!
